HOW TO CATCH KOB ON LIVE MULLET

Live mullet can be deadly for kob when presented in the right place and conditions.

WHERE TO FISH
• Deep holes and channels
• Sandbanks and gullies
• Estuary mouths and rocky areas
• Strong moving or pushing water
• Early mornings, late afternoons and into the evening

THE BAIT
Keep your mullet lively and hook it carefully so it can swim naturally. A struggling mullet in moving water can be hard for kob to ignore.

THE SETUP

Honestly, I’ve got no idea how a blank this light can still have so much backbone… I suppose only Okuma knows 😉

From the very first cast, you can feel the difference. The sensitivity is unreal — every knock, bump, tail kick, and movement gets transferred straight through the blank. When a fish eats, you feel it instantly.
