A Huge well done to all the Athletes who took part in the Stand Off this past weekend, You guys killed it!
The atmosphere was absolutely electric, the athletes took every Wod on with their all, challenging their opponents head to head while the crowd cheered on in awe!
To those who made finals and completed it, Elite and Intermediate, we salute you, it was extremely tough, mentally and physically, but as the true athletes you are, you never gave up, that is what makes you the best!

This Saturday 5 May 2018 come watch the Stand Off action go down at Funxtional fitness

Wod 1 Starts 8.00am

All athletes to begin with the kettle bell on the floor, Kettle bell is to be cleaned to the shoulder using any grip, a distinct pause must be seen before the weight is lifted overhead.
Reps must be alternating, rep failure has to be corrected on the same arm before alternating to the next rep.
It is a jerk off the shoulder however a strict press, push press or even split jerk will be permitted as long as the athlete clearly shows a locked out arm and hip before bringing the weight down from above.
free arm may not rest or touch any part of the body or kettlebell.
All division athletes have the choice of 2 variations in the slam ball clean over shoulder.
1 - Thrusting the ball from the ground straight over the shoulder
2 - Thrusting the ball up to the chest and rolling / pushing it over the shoulder
Very important, hips must be extended and the ball must clearly go over the shoulder, not the side of the shoulder or arm
Beginner athletes to perform 5 hand release burpees and move straight into 5 ring rows.
Ring to be under athletes elbow, arms to be in a straight line with ring straps under the bar, no hip thrust allowed.
5 burpee+5 ring rows = 5 reps
