From CJS Boykies to SA Squash Stars! 💚

Last night in Cape Town, our two CJS boys from many years ago, now CJS coaches when available, Damian and Luhann Groenewald, faced each other in an epic semifinal match and gave us a true display of grit, determination, fighting spirit and excellent squash.

They left absolutely everything on court, pushing each other to produce a match of the highest quality.

We could not be prouder of both Damian and Luhann — not only for the exceptional squash they played, but even more so for the young men they have grown into.

They are a wonderful example to all our CJS juniors and, without a doubt, to young squash players across South Africa. 🇿🇦

A special word of encouragement to Damian as he takes on Dewald van Niekerk today in the match to determine the No. 1 spot in South Africa. 💫

And to Luhann, playing for the No. 3/4 spot in South Africa — what an incredible achievement! 👏

Whatever the outcome, both of you have already made us incredibly proud. 💚

Day 1 delivered plenty of excitement and some top-quality squash. 💪

Our CJS coaches and former coaches are leading by example, showing our players exactly what it takes to compete at this level.

We are incredibly proud to see them out there, representing and setting the standard! 👏

GROWTHPOINT SA NATIONALS – CAPE TOWN 🏆

The first round on the glass court in Cape Town is done and dusted for our two CJS u15 girl stars! 💚

⭐ Chanel Leppan had a solid 3–0 win, keeping her No. 1 seeding firmly in place. 💪🔥

⭐ Mia Bakkes gave us a few nail-biting moments 😅 but showed incredible fighting spirit, coming back from 3–9 down in the 5th to win the match 3–2! What a comeback! 👏🔥

Both girls have now made it into the Top 4 Round Robin and, in the next round, will face each other!

We are incredibly proud of both of you! Keep fighting, keep believing and enjoy every moment on court in beautiful Cape Town! 💚

Social Saturday❄️

Saturday was all about fun, friendship and great squash!

On 15 August, we had 42 players joining us across our Midstream Ridge and Irene courts. Despite the cold morning, the smiles, laughter and enthusiasm quickly warmed things up!

Some players arrived feeling a little shy and nervous, but it didn’t take long for them to relax, find their confidence and play some beautiful squash.

A big thank you to all our parents for your wonderful support, and to our players for braving the cold and coming to show us those muscles! 💪
