This afternoon at 15h00, the Nduli Community Hall will be buzzing with excitement as Ward Councillor Andile Gili and the Ward 1 Committee hand over brand-new sporting and musical equipment to our local football teams and community choirs.

From soccer balls and goalkeeper gloves to djembes, tambourines, and training gear — today is about giving our young people the tools to dream bigger, play harder, and sing louder. 🌟

The question now is, how many spots are open for teams who will be participating in SAFA Cape winelands Region league play offs. With Spes Bona, Young Ideas relegated by points and Black stars relegated by defaults. And pending spot of Khayamnandi FC which will be participating in Provincial play offs.

Mata FC will be back in the SAFA Cape Winelands Men’s Regional League in the 2026/2027 season.

The status of Mata FC was reviewed and it was found out that they were relegated unfairly. Jaguars had 3 defaults, Mbekweni Cosmos, and Ammar were promoted to the ABC Motsepe league, last season Franshhoek United FC was not relegated while only Battalion FC was promoted. This raises questions.

Two weeks ago Mr George Rhoda new president attended the DLFA meeting and announced it.
