WPCC Bowls Club

24/09/2026

Some of the best pairs bowling in the country is happening at Glen Country Club over the next 3 days.

The Glen Invitational Pairs has pulled in most of SA's top bowlers, and Claire Cowan and Elma Louw are out there flying the WPCC Bowls Club.

Come through this weekend and back them. Grab a drink, find a spot on the bank, and give them a shout from all of us.

On until Sunday.

In Section 2, Kevin Smith edged Clarke Ellis on shots, with Brett van Eyssen third and Gareth Rosslee fourth.

Doug Wyatt (Section 3, +43) and Les Bradley (Section 4, +31) won every game. Sean Jennings went unbeaten to take Section 6, and Tom van Vlaandren won Section 5.

Runners-up: Brad van Beuge (S3), Andy Long (S4), Stu Braybrooke (S5) and Paul Hare (S6).

Congratulations to all our winners, and thank you to Personal Trust, Explore Realty and every bowler who made it such a special weekend.

1st place at Mowbray's Susan Weber Ladies Day. 🏆

Dianne Bennett, Debbie Kitshoff and Audrey Koppel Marais. Take a bow, ladies. 💙🧡

A proper win too. The field was stacked, no easy games all day.

And a real shout-out to the Mowbray Bowls Club team. Greens, food, the run of the day. You could feel the hours behind it. That's how you host a proper day of bowls. See you again soon.

Best weight control at this club and it wasn't on the greens today.
The events committee put out a call for tablecloth hems. The machines answered. Straight lines, perfect length, first time.

Ladies, we appreciate you.❤️❤️❤️
