180 grade 8 boys come out to the basketball court at today. Most playing for the first time. It was chaos but so much fun. Good to have 8 of the academy boys out there playing. They all looked great and had fun.

Have 5 more of my boys from the academy joining us at for 2024. That makes 12 boys in the last 3 years that will be playing basketball in 2024 for one of our Northwood teams.

Fun day of sports for us today. Malakai getting a win with 14A vs DHS, Northwood 1st team with a win against DHS and Piper winning the U13B tournament at Ashton and a team party. We had a happy house tonight.

Our U13 boys went to Stanger High and competed against U14 and U15 and had such a good time. Was great to get out into the community and take home second place.

Thanks to coach Bena and Coach Sizwe for making it so much fun for the boys.

I’m so proud of this young man .hargreaves for who he has become. It so much more than just basketball. Over the 3 years I’ve had the privilege of coaching him he has grown up into a great leader and team player. He is humble in what he is accomplishing and is a great role model to the younger boys who look up to him in so many ways.

Coaching is so much more than wins and losses and seeing how much Chad has grown up in the last 3 years has been a great story.

We got 1 year left and then on to bigger and better things and chasing that dream. Well done my boy.

These teams keep improving. Love watching them play. Have some talented boys out there

Great end of term match for all the boys in the academy for term 2. All Stars beat the Legends in a fun match. Malakai VanderYacht lead the all stars in scoring with five 3 pointers and 19 points.

Was such a fun day at day on Saturday. Was so great to have a basketball match on the day featuring the 2023 Knights vs the Northwood old boys. Lots of trash talking and old teammates playing against each other. The Old boys won with 3 free throws in the end 64-61

We now have lots of space for new players as we now have sessions 4 times a week not 2. Please WhatsApp me if you have a child interested.

What a fun day of basketball at Townsend park today. It was week 3 of Ballito Basketball Youth League and these boys are improving so much and it’s getting quite entertaining to watch now. I cant believe two years ago there was nowhere for any of these boys and girls under 14 to play and now we have over 100 children coming into Ballito on a Friday to play. Thank you to Reddam House Ballito, Eden Village Preparatory School and all the parents that help make this happen. We are still needing sponsors for those schools that are less fortunate than us, as you see in the picture some of the children have to play in bare feet. I’d also like to get uniforms for all the teams and pay coaches at these schools as they are doing it for free at the moment.
