Northwood Crusaders Football club over 35s

Virginia United vs Northwood Crusaders fc.

So Crusaders played away on Wednesday night, at last years league champions Virginia united fc.

Crusaders where optimistic that they could pull off a good performance away, as the new players acquired over the new season had strengthen the squad considerably.

One player that stands out is ofcoarse Bevon Aka STICKY.... who joined from Virginia United fc.

With an earlier kickoff of 7pm, Crusaders started off on the front foot. With Sticky looking very dangerous on the left wing , easily going past the Virginia back line, and hitting the bar with a tremendous shot in the first 2 minutes.

Five minutes later Crusaders did go one up.
With STICKY once again casually walking past the Virginia back line and sticking the ball in the top right hand corner .

But as we know, Virginia have a lot of quality in there team, and they started to push ball. There quality in midfield and upfront started to control the game half way through the first half. A long ball over the top caught the Crusaders defender's flat footed , with ex crusaders winger POPS running through and chipping the out comming keeper Kenny. One all.

5 minutes later it was 2-1 to Virginia with that little magician again POPS mesmerising the crusaders defender's and setting up an easy tap in for the Virgina striker.

Half time score 2-1 to Virginia.

Less than 5 minutes into the second half, and Sticky showed his menthal strength and quality , scoring with a header from an Enver corner.

The rest of the game was played at a fast paste with both sides have half chances to sn**ch a victory.

End of the day it was a fair result for both teams.
