We often tell ourselves I am stuck, but usually, that just means we are waiting for a feeling of readiness that never comes. We wait to feel confident before we start a new strength routine or step into a gym.

The truth is that confidence is a result of action, not a prerequisite for it. You do not get confident to start; you start to get confident.

If you are in your 40s, 50s, or 60s, you might feel like you have missed the boat or fear that you are not fit enough to begin. This is your permission slip to be a beginner. You are allowed to start exactly where you are, not where you think you should be.

The secret is starting anyway. Before the fear goes away. Before perfection arrives.
