✨ Flow With the Tide Retreat 2.0 ✨

What an incredible day of connection, reflection, growth and transformation on the beautiful Durban coastline. 🌊

Many arrived not knowing exactly what to expect, and left with so much more than they could have imagined. Throughout the day, we witnessed powerful breakthroughs, deep personal insights, and moments of clarity that reminded us just how important it is to pause and reconnect with ourselves.

In a world that constantly asks us to do more, be more, and move faster, this retreat was a gentle reminder that slowing down is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. When we create space for ourselves, we open the door to healing, growth, creativity, and renewed energy.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible facilitators who shared their wisdom, held space so beautifully, and guided each participant with such care and expertise. Your contribution made the day truly unforgettable.

ONE YEAR OF UWL 🤍

Honestly… I didn’t fully know what this would become when I started.

I just knew I wanted to create a space where people could explore wellness in a way that felt real, approachable, and a little less intimidating.

A year later, it’s become so much more than that.

There have been retreats, workshops, collaborations, ocean swims, big ideas, last-minute changes, beautiful people, stressful moments, really good conversations, and a lot of learning along the way.

But more than anything, this year reminded me how much people are craving genuine connection. Not perfection. No pressure.

Just spaces where they can slow down, try something new, and feel like themselves again.

So whether you’ve joined us for a retreat, collaborated with us, supported us online, or quietly followed along, thank you for being here.

A lot of people have been asking me what actually goes on at a Flow With The Tide retreat… so here’s a little glimpse into the experience.

Flow With The Tide begins bright and early at 7:30am, where we’ll meet down at the beach in front of Surf Riders, opposite Addington Hospital.

Our incredible coaches, Dave Jennings and Tash Whitaker, will guide both our beginner and intermediate surf groups. And if you’ve never touched a surfboard before, don’t worry. No experience is needed, and all equipment is provided.

For our more experienced surfers, there’ll be no lessons unless you want them, just freedom to paddle out, play in the waves, and enjoy the ocean with us.
After our morning surf, we’ll warm up with a well-deserved coffee, dry off, and soak in the energy of the morning… hopefully with a little sunshine on our side.
From there, we’ll head through to Umhlanga, to the beautiful Teremok Boutique Hotel, where Andrea Kellerman will guide us through her Go Deeper retreat experience, a beautiful blend of clay work and collage designed to help us connect with our subconscious, gain clarity, and slow down enough to really listen inward.

At 1pm, we’ll break for a nourishing and delicious lunch together.

Then at 2pm, Aewon Wolf will take us on a journey through chakra dance and binaural beats , allowing us to fully drop into the body, release, reset, and reconnect.

We’ll then flow gently into a yoga and meditation session guided by Magdarie, before ending the day with good music, drinks, connection, and time to simply be together.

The next morning, we dive into something truly special, an introduction to freediving with Angie, who will guide us through the fundamentals and beauty of breath, presence, and underwater exploration.

It’s really about connection, to yourself, to the ocean, and to an incredible community of people all looking to slow down, have fun, and experience something meaningful together.

This is something we come back to often, especially when things start to feel a bit… full.

For us, it’s not about doing wellness perfectly. It’s about finding small ways to come back to yourself during the day.

Move your body, in whatever way you feel like.

Take a breath, a proper one. And try be a little more present in the life you’re already in. That’s the kind of space we’re trying to build here.

Nothing rigid. Nothing forced. Just real.
