Silver in her field and gold in the women's doubles
alongside Marian Hernandez at the II Copa de España
de Kayak de Mar, Ciutadella — 25-26 April 2026.

Chloe reflected on her performance after the race —
her body felt strong throughout, and despite finishing
second in the singles, the gap to first was closing
with every stroke. By her own assessment, there was
more in the tank.

New venue, first visit, two medals.

What separates the best from the rest isn't always
talent. Sometimes it's generosity.

Gerda Steyn just claimed her seventh consecutive Two
Oceans title — 56km in 3:27:43 — and did it while
openly sharing her training sessions, target splits,
and race strategy with the public.

Elite runners traditionally guard this information.
Steyn does the opposite. On why she trained alongside
up-and-coming athlete Omuhle Kubheka ahead of the race,
Steyn said:

"It feels like yesterday when I was in her shoes,
desperate for advice from more experienced athletes,
and so it just feels right to try and spend time
with her."

Seven wins. One mindset.

That's the kind of athlete worth paying attention to.
