Featuring many of the Upper Highway's spectacular trails and conservancies.

Krantzkloof Honorary Officers are a group of passionate volunteers who support conservation, protection and public appreciation of Krantzkloof Nature Reserve.
They dedicate their time performing a variety of duties that include conservation, monitoring of various species, maintaining the trails ,signage and facilities, managing functions and fundraising efforts for the reserve.
Their efforts rely on community donations.

🌳 RUN THE RAIL TRAIL 🌳
Did you know the Upper Highway Rail Trail is more than just a place to run, ride and walk? It's a living piece of Hillcrest history-11km from Kloof to Paddy's crossing, with remnants of a 130 year old dry stone wall built by William Gillitt.
In 2006 - Marge Mitchell from the Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association started reclaiming the reserve to ensure the community can enjoy the area.
Every bit of maintenance- clearing, repairs, vegetation management relies on donations to keep it safe and open for all of us.
That's why when you enter UHTM, you're not just signing up for an epic trail race- you're helping protect the trails you love to run and a part of history.
A portion from every entry is donated to the Rail Trail. 💚

Every entry to the Upper Highway Trail Marathon helps fund the work of Everton Conservancy- KZN's first urban conservancy, caring for Everton Park,Eskotene Grassland park and the Molweni gorge, its trails, and the wild spaces we run through since 1990.
This is home to crowned eagles, otters, endangered Sandstone Sourveld grassland and so much more natural beauty.
Everton Conservancy are a small, self-funded team fighting alien invasives and protecting water quality- they rely on your support.
