Soaring to new heights 🇫🇷✨

QVI vaulters, Anna Simpson and Kyla Pretorius recently competed at the prestigious Saumur CVI in France. An incredible achievement and true honor to perform among the very best in the sport.

They delivered outstanding performances in a breathtaking arena and embraced the rare opportunity to compete on two exceptional horses.

We are so proud of young Katelyn Allorto and her beautiful horse Ele. 🐎

Together they recently competed in an equestrian vaulting competition and came first across all categories... which is such an incredible achievement! It’s very clear that these two besties are more than just a team. They’re partners for life, built on trust and friendship... not to mention plenty of time in the saddle. ❤

Well done you two - and we cannot wait for a visit from Ele!

Congratulations to High School pupil Anna Simpson, who had an outstanding performance at the 2nd KZN Vaulting Qualifier of the year on Saturday, 7 March 2026. She achieved:

2nd Place – 2* Horse (VASA & SANESA)
3rd Place – 2* Barrel (VASA & SANESA)

Anna’s journey now takes her overseas! She will travel to the UK to train and compete at the British Championships on 29 March 2026, before heading to France for the Saumur CVI, where she aims to secure her 2* International qualification—a key step toward selection in the SA Junior Worlds Team 2027.

We are incredibly proud of Anna and look forward to following her as she represents Thomas More College and South Africa on the international stage!

Don't worry - you start on a STATIONARY horse until you're ready. Safety first!

Then once you are ready the horse moves in a circle while you learn cool moves like:
• The flag (standing on one leg)
• The mill (spinning around)
• Jumps and dismounts that look impossible!

It's like being in the circus! 🎪✨
