The President of the KwaZulu-Natal Sports Confederation Mr. Mchunu attended the media launch and draw of the Siyabonga Sangweni Youth Month Festival, which is set to take place from 24–28 June 2026 at the Siyabonga Sangweni Stadium.

The festival will feature a variety of sporting codes, including netball and school sport, providing young people with an opportunity to participate in structured sporting activities. The event continues to play a significant role in promoting youth development, active lifestyles, and community engagement through sport.

Festival patron and former professional footballer Siyabonga Sangweni spoke about the importance of grassroots sport, reflecting on how similar opportunities played a vital role in his journey to becoming a professional footballer. He encouraged young athletes to embrace the opportunity, remain disciplined, and pursue their dreams both on and off the field.

The KwaZulu-Natal Sports Confederation remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower young people, nurture talent, and contribute to building an active and winning province.

KZN Youth Run 2026 – A Celebration of Youth Athletics

Another successful and energetic edition of the KZN Youth Run took place in Durban, with athletes of all ages coming together to compete in the 5km and 10km races. The annual event started adjacent to Kings Park Athletic Stadium and once again showcased the talent, determination, and enthusiasm of young runners from across the province.

Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding performances, and special recognition goes to the junior athletes who emerged victorious:
