Hi Embo Sports Academy fans.
We have so many photos and videos taken over the last two years that were never posted so here we go.
One of our league games in January 2019.
I believe this was our first match ever on 21/01/2019.
Indeed a landmark!
ENJOY!

Two years ago, a dream began .To empower and constructively occupy children especially girls in a rural underprivileged community through sports and recreation.
Today that dream is a two year old reality.
Thank you LORD for bringing us thus far and thank you for where you are taking us.

Our founder's day on the 9th October 2018 was a great day. Very informal and relaxed..
We had about 80 children showing up just to play and have fun.
Then it was called Community Sports Development Program. [CSDP] - an outreach to enrich the community.

Sometime in early 2018, I became very disturbed by the high incidence of children delinquency in the community within which my husband and I pastor a local church. Continuous news of teenage pregnancies-13/14 year olds, drug addictions , po*******hy addictions really saddened me, I knew the children in this less privileged community needed help in constructive occupation and use of their time, I tried to get some involved in others sports club but no success. I decided to start a 2hr time of recreation and teach girls to play netball [a sport I knew absolutely nothing about].
Today this initiative has become Embo Sports Academy with
1] A girls netball team
2] Women's netball team
3]A Boys soccer team.

THANK YOU LORD!

We had a really great game on Monday evening at the annual Netball league at Curro High.
The Embo Roses Netball team are budding fast.
This time last year we were practically clueless about the sport.
The girls have come a long way! BRAVO!
