December has arrived, bringing with it a much-needed break. It’s important to take some time off and relax but here are three simple tips to keep you moving throughout the holiday season. From ho-ho-ho to go-go-go!

1. Opt for stairs instead of elevators or escalators whenever possible. It's a great way to sneak in some extra steps.

2. Take short walking breaks during your days. A stroll outside can refresh your mind and boost your energy.

3. Schedule short stretching breaks. It’s a great way to start your day!

Founded by a medical doctor, Run/Walk For Life is South Africa’s leading fitness and weight-loss programme, with thousands of members across the globe.

Run/Walk For Life members exercise in supervised groups of similar ability, meaning that you will not find yourself being pushed too hard, or battling to keep up with members who are fitter than you. Similarly, you will not spend your exercise sessions having to wait for members who are slower than you – you will exercise with a group of members who have similar fitness levels and abilities to yours. Personal supervision allows Run/Walk For Life members to exercise in a safe and social environment.

Run/Walk for Life welcomes both pro athletes and novices and inspires them to reach their specific goals.
