Self Repair for Social Repair

We equip you with tools for self repair which is an integral to the p Repair does not mean that you are broken.

Dominant world systems are based on hierarchy and make most of us feel like we are not good enough. This sense of inadequacy limits our courage to be our full selves. Self repair is a process of calling in the parts of yourself that have been denied and discouraged. It is a journey of self acceptance, radical love and impacting the world with your gifts. As 30 June approaches, a date that some have identified as a deadline for undocumented African migrants to leave South Africa, we recognise that it has become a rallying point for expressing deep frustration with the country's ongoing socioeconomic challenges.

At The Toolbox, we understand and stand with the call for greater dignity, accountability, and justice for all South Africans. We also reject scapegoating, violence, and narratives that dehumanise fellow Africans.

We believe we must be able to hold multiple truths at once.
People deserve meaningful livelihoods, fair opportunities, and governments that uphold their responsibilities.

People also deserve dignity and humanity, regardless of where they were born.

When pain is redirected toward one another instead of the systems that produce inequality, exploitation, and exclusion, we all lose. The cycle of harm deepens, and our shared humanity is diminished.

The Toolbox rejects division as a pathway to justice. We believe another way is possible, one that transforms pain into collective repair, and repair into collective liberation.

Sat Nam brave ones! Trusting that you are well & looking to the light✨

Our Thursday morning Kundalini ritual continues 630 - 745am SAST online. Let's rise & shine! This month we are activating New Lungs & Circulation. When we rebuild the lungs & create flow, we feel energized & capable. Rebuilding the lungs also creates space to release grief. As we transit through autumn, nature asks us what we are ready to shed. 🐍 Breathe, move, meditate & open up to the answers stored in your body.

Classes are open to all levels. I will always offer variations so you can meet yourself where you are.

Let's meet on our mats on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th May.

Book your spot on bookamat.co or download the app. Will share link in stories

🕯Dreaming is our Birthright🕯

We are witness to multiple injustices unfolding around us. The rate and scale of calamity can make us feel powerless. This retreat reminds us that we are not! 'Dreaming is our Birthright' creates a sacred space where dreaming becomes a tool for hope, connection, and guidance.

Dreaming is more than rest - it is an active dialogue with ancestors, spirit, and self. It is our birthright to be guided and held by our dreams. I'm excited to collaborate with the zulu soul doula! Her magnetic energy & guidance will support you to harness your dreams. Through breath, movement & meditation,I will support somatic integration.

Join us for a transformative experience that honours African spirituality and our bodies' wisdom. We can't wait to retreat 17 to 19 Oct , the gorgeous sanctuary in Ixopo KZN. The time is ripe for renewal & reclamation of your dreams!

Bookings can be made through for a range of accommodation + R400 surcharge.

Join us in tonight's live if you have more questions!

Sat Nam friends, hope you are navigating these times gently ✨ We embrace the spirit of renewal & abundance offered by this new season🌻

Most people I speak to are doing their best to find steady ground as the world continues to swirl madly around & within us. It's quite distressing to witness & experience the current levels of injustice, dishonesty & greed. At the same time we take courage from the bold & small actions of resistance our comrades take daily. Our collective humanity is elevated through the selfless acts we take to uplift each other! We can't stop speaking up, donating, boycotting & mobilizing until we dismantle the life crushing oppression & breathe our new ways into being.

For the month of Oct, I'll be sharing a kriya to Get the Body out of Distress. As feeling beings, we are deeply impacted by all the massive shifts in motion. Our mats offer a sanctuary to process & regulate.Let's meet ourselves where we are as we navigate the turbulence. Now is the perfect time to get back into your body as we root into spring.

Classes are open to all levels.

There will be in person class on Sat 4th, 11th and 25th Oct! 730- 845am

Online classes on Tues 7, 14, 21 and 28th Oct. 630 - 745am (SAST)

Anyone else feel like they are standing on shifting ground right now?

As I approach the end of my studies, while the seasons change around me and collectively we witness old structures no longer being able to hold - I feel acutely aware of being in transition. Even though all these changes are welcomed, it feels wobbly and at times scary, as I am uncertain of what is next. And yet, I also know this is where growth happens. This is where possibility lives.

Thats why this week I will be what I'm calling a strengths in transitions flow. In my classes, the invitation is to notice the urge to rush towards the next thing, and then practice pausing and steadying ourselves in the in-between.

My intention is to help us to build trust in the strength and possibility that can be found in transition. In doing so we build the capacity not to only withstand change, but welcome it.

'Through the repetition, the magic will rise!' 💫This phrase remains my key takeaway from my Bikram days (gotta start somewhere!) Over time, as a Gemini, who loves novelty, the wisdom of this saying has gained deeper meaning.

In the process of repair, repetition soothes our nervous system & supports gentle repatterning. Each month we do the same kriya -online and in person (Jhb). Kundalini Yoga encourages the repetition of the same set 40 days in a row. This is how we unlock the full effect of a set & discover its magic.

You can also choose to committ to a month of practice & watch how you transform each week. Sometimes we are many, other times few - the beat marches on!

Last month's set was the invigorating Har Aerobic Kriya, this month we practice Removing Body Blocks Kriya.

We have 2 more sessions this August on 16th and 30th.

Online classes: 5, 12, 19 and 26 August.

All bookings through bookamat.co

Thank you to everyone whose vibrations raise our group consciousness. As we heal & transform ourselves, we heal and transform each other, learning new ways of loving and being. A whole new world starts with us. And then we take this energy into our boycotts, our protests, our collective refusal to let any of us be obliterated.

Come true, all parts of you are welcome! 🕯🤍

Sat Nam! You are invited! This month's Kundalini yoga set, the Har Aerobic Kriya, is invigorating & energizing. It's fanning our inner flames as we brave the SA winter chill. Some sets are slower & more restorative. Kundalini yoga is a vast toolkit. Whichever set we do - we practice ahimsa (non - violence). I will always support you to adjust so that you meet yourself exactly where you are.

The challenges of today require more than logic & brute force - we need spirit - led holistic solutions that inspire & elevate humanity. We are the ones we have been waiting for. Intentional practice & communal healing remind us of this! I'm so grateful to our growing community🤍

Join us on Saturdays 8 - 915am. This is in Joburg, near Delta Park. (Sizwe is still holding down our Durban studio)

On Tuesdays we rise & shine, remotely, 630 - 715am.

Class is R160. Bookings and payment are through Bookamat. I am also open to alternate payment arrangements & plans.

Next class this Sat 19 July!
