The legends at have teamed up with us at to bring to life an epic event.

The Giba Gorge backyard Ultra… the race is a lay man standing type event where every hour on the hour athletes take off and run the 6.7km route within the hour. If you make it you qualify for the next lap, if you don’t, that’s your race over.

is a phenomenal venue as it offers a wide range of trails with in that 6.7km. There are some decent climbs, fun decents and epic single track.

Having onboard give us the ability to really bring a top class event. Devil peak beer offers something truly different, some truly special. There beers are well aligned with athletes who work hard and want to celebrate the victories… At Giba, we too strive to achieve special and different adventures and hence we believe teaming up with these legends we can create a top rated, limit testing, boundary pushing adventure orientated race.

It has been an incredible journey chatting with adventure legend sand sharing stories, advice and experiences. 2022 is going to be a good one. I can feel it in my bones…

Another little milestone… 1500 downloads of the adventure academy podcasts…. I admit I have been missing in action but this little poster gave me some gees so the latest podcast is uploaded and ready for downloads… also have some great athletes recorded and ready to release. The white hut challenge whether it is at sunrise 🌅 or sunset 🌆 is always a tough but rewarding challenge. The route starts of easy along the green route but once you cross the river it is all uphill to the hut! Rivers, Rocks, Ropes and steep gradient 🏔everything to get you excited for short adventure. Come join us tomorrow for the white hut night challenge at .

Another month and another epic challenge hosted by and . This month we are focusing on giving our community a real challenge and have set up the night run route as part of the White Hut FKT challenge. It is a real tester with 320m climbing in the first 4km, and then a lovely run downhill back home. These events have one purpose and that is to promote the epic trails and route in the Giba park. There are steep climbs, waterfall, perfect single track and switch backs to name a few epic elements the park offers… There is a 9,5km and 4km route so come join us tomorrow night at 18:00 to enjoy the steep climbs, epic views and smooth single track.

Wednesday night- the time to bring out your headlamps and give the 9km and 4km a go…

17:00 registration opens and 18:05 the race starts.

R45 gets you your entry. Register before you start and your time will be recorded.

The person with the best time difference from the previous night race will get a PIZZA for themselves and a running buddy on the house…

The night run was a great little success - next exciting race is our doggie dash virtual event on Sunday 19 September 2021. As you can see, Riggs is frothing for the event and has been in some serious train so we both looking forward to the challenge from the other trail dogs…

Route Recce completed this morning and the only information you need to know about the night run tomorrow is that 8km is more like 9.3km. Other than that the route is super Lekker. 4km follow direction arrows and red reflective tape and 9km follows arrows and yellow reflective tape. The route is a good tester with the first 5km being all uphill… but the single track home makes you forget about the climbing and just enjoy the flow. Don’t forget headlamps as there are lots of rocks and trees to hop around and over. This is trail running!!! See you tomorrow 5pm for registration, race starts 18:10
