🎣 Lines In: Saturday, 5 September – 15:00
⏰ Lines Up: Sunday, 6 September – 08:00
⚖️ Scales Open: Sunday – 08:00
⚖️ Scales Close: Sunday – 11:00 (you must be in the queue before 11:00 for your fish to qualify)
🏆 Prize Giving: Sunday – 12:00

📍 Competition Boundaries
From Salmon Bay (North) to the Umkomaas River North Bank (South).
🚤 Launch from any recognised launch site between Ballito and Umkomaas.
🎣 Fish anytime between Lines In and Lines Up, with unlimited launches during competition hours.
✅ Open line class.
📏 Competition Rules
• Only ONE Dusky Cob over 1.1m may be weighed in per angler.
• No mutilated fish may be weighed for the Top 3 prizes.
• Please respect all legal bag and size limits in accordance with current fishing regulations.
🌊 Bad Weather Date: 12–13 September 2026.
📸 By entering, anglers agree that winners' photos may be used by the organising committee for future promotional material.

1.Captains briefing was at Bobbies Angling Club on Friday 12th June 2026 @ 19h00.

2. Line’s in at 6am on TUESDAY 16th June 2026

3. Scales close at 15h00 on Tuesday 16th June 2026, at Bobbies Angling Club. Anglers must be in the weigh-in line with the fish by 15h00.

4. All fish must be brought to the scales at Bobbies Angling Club, Sharkmesher Road, Silt Canal, Bayhead.

5. Boats may launch at any recognized launch site, between Umhlanga and Warner Beach.

6. Boundaries are Tongaat river mouth to Illovo River mouth.

7. Prizes: King Mackerel – R125 000,00 worth of prizes for 1st to 5th, Ladies & Junior

In the event of a lady/ junior catching the biggest fish, the fish will only count for 1 prize of angler’s choice. (1 fish 1 Prize applies)

8. Game fish only, no sharks, skates, rays, bottom fish, or bill fish to qualify.

9. No mutated fish will be weighed.

10. In the event of no King Mackerel being caught, judges can make a call on the winning fish.

11. Open line class.

12. Competition is open to all registered boats, jet skis and fishing skis.

13. All anglers must be in possession of a valid fishing license.

14. All craft and skippers must be in possession of valid licenses.

15.The weather committee made the call on Friday evening to postpone until Tuesday 16th June 2026.

16. The Competition committee’s decision is final and binding.

17. In the event of a dispute a non-refundable fee of R1500.00 will be charged for all disputes. The Organizing Committees decision is final. All disputes to be held prior to prize giving. Organizing Committees decision is final

The Croc Comp has been postponed until Tuesday.

We will still accept entries up to 17h00 on Monday.

Times are lines in at 6am and SCALES CLOSE at 15h00 not 16h00. Prize giving will follow there after.

Please note this call was made to ensure the safety of all Anglers and enjoyment of all Anglers.

Good morning all entrants. Im sure you have all been following the weather for this weekends comp. We do have a weather committee consisting of 3 very experienced anglers launching from 3 launch sites within the boundaries. Tonight's briefing and registration will go ahead as planned. We will be open from 2pm for collection of goody bags and late entries. At the briefing the weather committee will make a call after consultation with the entrants and checking the weather. In the event of the weather not being safe the comp will carryover till Tuesday. Please understand that safety, enjoyment and fish at the scales is our priority.
