JOSH VAN BILJON - 100 UP

He began his cricketing journey at Shedders Cricket Academy at the tender age of four, and from that very first day it has been a privilege to witness and share in his growth and development as a cricketer.

On Thursday, 26 February, he not only captained the DHS 1st XI to a memorable victory over Clifton in the KZN W100, but also reached the remarkable milestone of playing his 100th match for the DHS 1st XI — an achievement that reflects extraordinary consistency, resilience, and dedication.

Just two days later, on Saturday, 28 February, in the final fixture of the first term, he delivered an innings of the highest calibre, scoring an unbeaten 162 off 132 deliveries. Together with fellow DHS 1st XI stalwart, Ismaeel Omar, who contributed a composed 101 off 140 balls, he guided DHS to a commanding 73-run victory over Westville. It was a performance that demonstrated not only skill and composure, but leadership and character.

I am immensely proud of your unwavering commitment and the work ethic you have displayed throughout this journey. Success at this level is never accidental — it is the result of talent matched with discipline, sacrifice, and relentless effort. You have embodied all of these qualities.

This milestone is not a destination, but rather another significant step in what promises to be a distinguished cricketing journey. May it inspire you to continue striving for excellence, both on and off the field.
