Good evening all Masters.

The above fun day will be followed by a lunch of Gammon, Chicken and salads.

Entries are limited to 50 so do not delay and get your entries in.

Non members/ partners may join the lunch at a mere R 150 a head.

Masters IPT 60+ excelled in Cape Town this past week ! We entered 4 teams and came home with 4 medals - how awesome ! The 70B side bagged bronze, the 70A side nailed the gold, 60B took bronze, and the 60A side clinched the gold. Brilliant - well done !

The 2024 KZN Masters open for ages 30- 80+ will be held at Westridge Park from 8 August to 11 August 2024. Only 1 day's leave is required as it is a long weekend with a public holiday which is very convenient for the working players.

Entries are currently open and close on 01 August and we would like to sow case this event. It is our only home Masters event this year and would love to see you all participating. Weather is great this time of the year with little to no humidity so perfect playing conditions.

Dear fellow tennis players

Further to our introductory email a few weeks ago we are still looking to send teams to Pretoria for the Master's interpro 24-28 July 2024.

Teams are in 10 year age groups and we are looking for 30-59 year olds to represent KZN Masters for this interpro.

Please submit your names to KZN Masters email on [email protected] whereafter selection can take place.

Please be aware the deadline is 30 May 2024 as we have to inform TSA by 7 June 2024.

Looking forward to receiving responses - last year we had 7 KZN teams in the 30-59 year old category and hoping to send a similar number.

Good morning all

Trusting everyone is well on a great weekend with mixed starting this afternoon for those who are playing.

The groups are continuing to grow as we add members.

The new committee is in place and been working already.

Just a few points.

1. Himeville weekend is now full and any entries received now will be wait listed.
2. Please ensure Rob has your POP for Himeville records and planning of budgets etc.
3. We have created a Himeville Community group as way of communications of the event and any changes etc that take place for the entrants.
4. Entrants will receive invites to join via Ronel.

Masters registration fees remain at R 150.00 for the year April 2024 to March 2025.

Those playing in Himeville please pay promptly as soon as you receive an invoice from Braam.

We do not make money from registration fees but use this to cover small operating costs as well as we pay a portion towards every player in interpro etc. So the funds we generate are ploughed back into interpro as well as hosting the KZN open in August which is a huge expense and in fact in 2023 entries never covered all the costs and it was run at a small loss.

We do our best to keep our sport alive in the province and we can only do this collectively as a tennis family.

To date Westridge is still in the balance with lots of unknowns so no update in that department BUT we need Westridge for the greater good of tennis as we have a shortage of courts to host Masters tournaments and even an interpro and or Nationals should we be asked to.

We have established a new committee which will be communicated to the tennis community in coming days and via Clubs.
