Great start to the 1st28TEEN Year with five new youngsters joining us, three of which are girls. Our lessons today were on the putting green and everyone putted really well. The competition round was keenly contested and our winners as usual had to make a speech

This morning six 1st28TEEN youngsters teed it up at Kloof Country Club. For three of the youngsters it was their first competition and first time getting out on the golf course. The six youngsters are between the ages of 8 and 10 and they really played well and enjoyed the morning. Huge thanks to the Kloof Country Club Team for putting on the competition and hosting us

Another school term has come to an end and it has been an awesome term on the green and on the range. Our youngsters made some great strides with their golf with one young boy, Hudson, being ranked second in the country in his age group at SA Kids Golf. Even the professionals miss the majority of putts from outside 8 feet The majority of putting practice should be focused on putts within 8 feet. Making a higher percentage of short putts will lower your scores! Outside of 8 feet, a golfer should be more focused on controlling speed in order to avoid 3 putts. Knowing these percentages and managing your expectations when you are putting is important to making more two putts from farther distances Credit @stellergolf

Yay.. It's Big Stick..!! Huddy was sending it today in the longest straightest drive competition. The little champ was launching some 🚀 today..!! Coach told us that he would sweeten the deal if we called and hit a cone. He said that he would pay out 100 bux.. The little man just missed it in the final round, with the ball landing a foot or so away from the number 7 cone, with his last shot. Huddy walked away with another 20 in his pocket but learned a good setup routine with his shoulders.
