At 80 years and nine months old, Tony Evered-Hall on Saturday became the oldest finisher in the history of the Dusi Canoe Marathon, Tony, paddling with his son Mark (55), finished their 10th Dusi together for Tony to become the oldest ever finisher at the race, beating Hugh Raw who was 80 and four months in 2021.

It was Tony's 16th Dusi, but it nearly ended in tears on Friday when they had a scary swim and wrapped their boat early in the stage and had to fix it before limping to the finish.
