🏆 Umzinyathi Canoe Club Shines at the Rusty Legends & Schools Race! 🏆

A huge congratulations to all our Umzinyathi paddlers who represented the club with pride at the Lions River race this weekend.

🥇 Lindokuhle Maphumulo delivered an outstanding performance to take 1st place overall in the Legends Race!

🌟 Nosipho Mthembu paddled brilliantly to finish as the 2nd female overall.

👏 Well done to Carrol Evans, who competed in the K2 event, and to our young stars Olwethu Cele and Ntando Ngobese for flying the Umzinyathi flag in the Schools Race.

Your dedication, determination, and sportsmanship make our club proud. Whether you were chasing podium positions or gaining valuable racing experience, every paddle stroke counted.

Nigel Briggs finished his masters world champs race in Argentina with a silver medal. We are proud of him. What a legend.

Wonderful to see our youth being encouraged in our sport. Thank you Kwazulu Natal Canoe Union.

Team KZN was part of a group of 65 young paddlers that attended the KZN Guppy League kayak cross event at Lions River yesterday. A wonderful morning on the water learning new skills, making friends and having fun 🙌

With sincere thanks to everyone involved in organising the event, providing equipment, knowledge and support to enable us to make memories.

A fantastic day on the water for the Jock Claasens Race, hosted by Crusaders Canoe Club
Umzinyathi members enjoyed every moment on the river, taking full advantage of the great conditions and the awesome atmosphere. Crusaders put on an incredible event — from a smooth, well‑run race to rugby action afterwards. Truly the best day ever, even if we didn’t take the win. The spirit and camaraderie made it unforgettable.
