One thing I’ve learnt over the years as a coach is that progress doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.
Some days everything clicks. The tricks land, the confidence is there and you can see just how far you’ve come.
Other days, we go back to basics. We repeat the same correction for the hundredth time. We work through frustration and those moments when something that seemed so easy yesterday suddenly feels impossible.
And that’s all part of it.
We see so much more than the final trick, the perfect routine or the results on competition day.
We see the little victories. The dancer who finally believes she can. The one who keeps trying even when she’s frustrated. The friendships, the laughter, the determination and the confidence that slowly grows with every class.
As your coach, those are the moments that mean the most to us.
Of course we want our dancers to achieve incredible things. We want them to push boundaries, challenge themselves and discover what they’re capable of.
But more than anything, we want our dancers to truly believe in themselves and recognise what they’re capable of. Not every class will be their best, not everything will come easily, and that’s okay. Enjoy the journey, challenge yourselves and take pride in your progress, however big or small.
So to every dancer walking into the studio this week, whether you’re progressing steadily through your training or finding things a little tougher than usual…Keep showing up. Keep putting in the work. Keep believing in what you’re building.
Because we promise you, staying consistent, trusting your training and continuing to put in the work, even on those slower days, is what ultimately leads to those moments of greatness🤍
And we feel incredibly lucky that we get to be part of yours🥰
