πΆββοΈπββοΈ How much physical activity do you really need each week?
According to the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), adults should aim for:
β
150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity per week (like brisk walking, cycling, or light jogging)
OR
β
75 minutes of vigorous-intensity activity per week (like running, swimming, or high-intensity training)
OR
β
A combination of moderate + vigorous activity that adds up.
π Spread this activity across the week β for example, 30 minutes of moderate activity 5 days per week.
πͺ On top of that, ACSM recommends at least 2 days of strength training each week, targeting all major muscle groups.
β¨ Want even more benefits? Going beyond 300 minutes of moderate activity per week can further reduce your risk of chronic diseases, improve mood, and boost overall health.
The bottom line: You donβt need hours in the gym every day β consistency is key. Small, regular bouts of movement add up to big health benefits over time.
How close are you to meeting the ACSM guidelines this week? π

π§ July is Mental Illness Awareness Month π
And it's the perfect time to remind ourselves: mental health is just as important as physical health.
Exercise is one of the most powerful β and underrated β tools we have to support our mental wellbeing.
It boosts mood, reduces stress, and helps manage symptoms of anxiety and depression by releasing endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine β your brainβs natural feel-good chemicals! π
Even light movement like a walk, stretch, or breathing-focused exercises can make a difference.
Movement doesnβt have to be intense β it just has to be consistent and compassionate.
Letβs use this month to move more, talk openly, and support one another.
Because strong minds and strong bodies go hand in hand. πͺπ

πΏ June is Scoliosis Awareness Month πΏ
This month is dedicated to raising awareness about scoliosis β a condition that causes an abnormal curve in the spine, often developing during adolescence but affecting people of all ages.
Early detection, regular screenings, and movement-based therapy can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
Letβs support those living with scoliosis by spreading knowledge, breaking stigma, and encouraging strength through movement. πͺ
