Another Great Weekend of Racing with the Puro Team at EC Road Champs in PE this weekend. Thanks to the organisers and everyone else who made it possible.

It’s a real treat to watch the camaraderie, spirit and care for one another amongst our crew.

We miss Teo Bosazza so much when we riding road bikes but we have been lucky enough to find ourselves a Big Guy Roadie Teammate in Caleb Meistre. Welcome to the Team young man 👊🏼.
This is only the second time Lourens Spies and Caleb have got to ride together and as a Superstar Triathlete by trade only Caleb’s second road racing event.
We were very excited to see what the boys could do working together in the 103km road race. Unfortunately for Lourens his back wheel came loose early in the first lap and the pace up front meant he could not make up the distance to the leading group after the time he lost doing his own running repairs. Well Done Lourens for persisting and finishing in a very respectable 6th place only 2km / hour under the lead bunch pace. It is an huge achievement and show of true grit to ride most of that route alone, into the wind and finish under 3hours. Be proud of yourself Boetie, we sure are. Keep working, keep fighting your day will come 🙌🏼.
