๐Ÿ˜ด How important is rest? ๐Ÿ˜ด Rest and recovery plays an important part in an exercise program as it allows the body time to repair and strengthen itself in between workouts. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ It also allows you to recover, both physically and mentally. ๐Ÿง 

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Whether you're a weight lifter, runner, cyclist, the body's muscles need to recover from any damage they've sustained during workouts, and to allow them to grow and recover.

This is what you need to tell yourself every day!
Work is tough, we get home and we sit down... Don't sit down or take clothes with you to work and run from the office if you can.

Otherwise find a running buddy so you dont' have an excuse to not run!

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ Why not try a 400m session. If you can, go to your local track or try and find a flat road or even a rugby field. (I always try and run on a field somewhere)

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ Speed sessions makes you fitter, increases the range of movement in your joints, makes you more comfortable at all speeds, and it will ultimately help you to run harder for longer.

This is a general session and NOT specific to anyone. Always warm up and run to your abilities.

Remember it's important to rest. If you're a newbie runner then take a day or 2 off between runs for your body to recover and get use to what's going on ๐Ÿ™ˆ

And if you're an experienced runner then make your rest days either one day of no running or make that day your "chill run" day... And easy run.
