- Youth Edition
The Youth Exchange Phase 2 participants had an amazing 3 weeks together, as shown in the slide show highlights. They engaged in various activities such as soil analysis, worm farming, sowing microgreens, and producing tomatoes under tunnels. The students also had the opportunity to harvest and process fresh produce, as well as visit local micro farms. The graduation ceremony was both memorable and meaningful for all involved. As they move on to the next leg of the program, we hope for even greater prosperity. With the guidance and mentorship of Kidlinks Small Farm Incubator, they will establish youth gardens in their respective locations.

The behind the scenes microgreens practical, led by Kanyisa Deliwe, is part of a youth exchange program that focuses on training young individuals from rural and urban areas on establishing sustainable food gardens. Microgreens, which are crops harvested at an early stage, have been included in the training due to their high value and nutritional benefits. This practical session aims to provide hands-on experience to the participants, teaching them how to grow microgreens successfully. By learning about the cultivation, harvesting, and marketing aspects of microgreens, the program aims to equip the youths with the necessary skills to generate a high income and promote healthy eating habits.
