Community Notice: Closure of Buffalo City Soccer School / Buffalo City Sports Academy
It is with deep gratitude and appreciation that we announce the closure of the Buffalo City Soccer School / Buffalo City Sports Academy, an initiative proudly established to help combat social ills in our communities. The project was made possible through the generous support of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, and founders Simon Adams, Barry Dickson, and Baron Bosman.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who played a role in making this journey impactful:
Our dedicated coaches and managers
The incredible parents, sponsors, and partner schools
The principals and teachers of AW Barnes Primary School, our home base throughout
Your support has been invaluable in making a difference in the lives of so many young people.
We will keep the community updated about any plans to reopen through our pages:

Thank you once again to everyone who has been part of this important journey. We are proud of what we’ve achieved together.

"It's not about who you impress but about who you impact" as we celebrated our participants this weekend at our end of year appreciation event, we are reminded that without our benificieries our programmes will never be successful, we need to stay dedicated to the development and impact we make on the lives of the youth. Only then will we see the fruits of our work. 🍒 @ East London, Eastern Cape

Why do we believe in using sport to achieve our objectives?
If applied correctly, sport has proven to strengthen young people’s ability to shape their own future, become active citizens and commit them to building up their communities.
Sport activities can structurally change their behaviour by helping them break the vicious cycle of poverty, violence, inequality that often keeps them and their families on the margin of society
