After the long and much deserved festive holiday, on January 13th members of EL Coastal Circuit 313 gathered at the church's Multi-Purpose Center in Wilsonia for the Covenant Service, many coming to give thanks to God for the previous year and some to make covenant with God for the year ahead. The Superintendent (Rev ZM Makula) gave a theme for the year, saying we should be *"Spreading the wings of faith, shaping the future”*
*“Ukuvula iimpiko zokholo, sisakha ikamva”* and used these scriptures as reference
Isaya 40:12-31 & Hebrews 11:20-34. He further went on to say this theme was derived from that of the Presiding Bishop which says "Shaping the future today" and also encouraged that this is the year of the youth and childreu ministry...tomorrow's leaders.
The congregants received the Superintendents message well and were in high spirits of Praise and Worship. The multi-purpose centre was fill to the brim and this really gives hope that this will indeed be a good year for the circuit.

On the 12 January 2019 the Women’s Manyano gathered at Dr Ernest Baartman to pray for the covenant service. The President Mrs Makula read from the book of Mark chapter 5 verse 41 under the Theme Healing and Restoration.

Then there was a Banner Parade which was led by Mrs Sekeleni. Who reminded us the meaning and intention behind the the banner parade.

A candle was lit by Mrs Njameni who said there should be peace in all our surroundings this year followed by three prayers. The first one was led by the Vice President Mrs Boco who prayed for the covenant service, the second prayer was was led by Secreatary Mrs Ntetho who prayed for peace within our families the last prayer was led by Recording Secretary Mrs Mfaxa who prayed for the world including the upcoming elections. Then all the mothers prayed for 2018 to be the year of peace.9
