ELAC East London Athletics Club Thursday: Time Trials starting at 5:30pm - meet at our clubhouse ELAC is the oldest athletics club in the border region, having turned 90 years old in 2025.

This page is dedicated to all runners and walkers from all clubs whereby we can highlight the many events that are held during the year, big or small. Feel free to share ANY events to this page that will benefit the running community. Safety in numbers whilst on the road with all the weekly runs and a wonderful opportunity to meet runners from all the other clubs.

Applications for the 100th Comrades Marathon General Ballot are now closed.

Thank you to every runner from across the globe who applied for the opportunity to be part of this historic Centenary event 🌍

The wait is almost over - the ballot draw takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, 23 September 2026. Successful applicants will begin receiving notifications, together with the relevant next steps, from tomorrow.
