Crocs spotted on the trails and the streets! 🐊🏃

What a weekend for uMhlathuze Athletic Club! From the Boardwalk Runathon in Richards Bay to the Ngoje Trail Run in Eshowe, our members were out in full force.

Some brought the family along, some took on a new challenge, some smashed their PBs, and some stepped onto the podium. Every finish line crossed is something to celebrate, and we're proud of each and every one of you!

🏅 Silver Medal – Awarded to runners finishing in under 7:30.
🏅 Bill Rowan Medal – Awarded to runners finishing between 7:30 and 9:00.
🏅 Bronze Medal – Awarded to runners finishing between 9:00 and 11:00.
🏅 Victor Clapham Medal – Awarded to runners finishing between 11:00 and the official cut-off of 12:00.

One week to go! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️💚

Our Comrades Send-Off Breakfast started with a short social run at conversational pace — enough to keep the legs moving without risking injury before the Ultimate Human Race. Afterwards, it was time for a proper South African breakfast: eggs, bacon, sossies, grilled tomato, toast and beans. Lekker food, great company, and plenty of excitement for race day!

A huge thank you to Norman and Sister Madelein from B-Well Pharmacy, Samantha Harding Physiotherapy, and our experienced Comrades runners on the committee for sharing valuable insights, advice, encouragement and race-day tips.

Special thanks also to our committee for gifting each Comrades runner a personalised UAC sweat towel featuring our club logo, the Comrades logo, name and race number — a memorable keepsake for a special occasion.

This year, Crocs has 29 club members taking on Comrades. We wish each and every one of you a fantastic race. We'll be tracking you, cheering you on every step of the way, and celebrating with you when you've crossed that finish line.
