Happy New Year! It's 2023 & I love how the start of a new year brings fresh beginnings & motivation!
This month I'll be posting one of our pilates repertoire exercises every day. Today I'm in Port Alfred on a very sunny, but windy day.
We're starting with the Pelvic Curl:
π€ΈπΌββοΈ Feet are a fist width apart
π€ΈπΌββοΈ Pelvis starts in the neutral position
π€ΈπΌββοΈ Belly button is drawn gently in towards the spine
π€ΈπΌββοΈ Arms are pressed strongly into your mat
π€ΈπΌββοΈ Make sure you peel your spine off the mat one vertebra at a time
π€ΈπΌββοΈ Lift the pelvis high without splaying your knees out
π€ΈπΌββοΈ Peel down through your spine again, starting at your upper back & bringing your buttocks down last
π€ΈπΌββοΈ Repeat 3-5 times for a beautifully mobile spine & strong deep abdominals
