After finishing their 10km, Helene Kruger and Bianka Horn stayed to wait for me to finish my 33km. For a walker the 33km route was no joke - especially Klapperkop!

It was a very cold, windy day and I was cold to the bone the whole way!

When I got my medal and saw their faces light up, those hugs at the finish... wow. You made me feel so blessed! 🙏 Your love and compassion warmed me right up. I will never forget this day. ❤️😘

Pappa - thank you for always being there at the finish and for all your motivation and support!
