This is a trail run event in the surrounding mountains of George, the gateway to the Garden Route
Endless gravel roads and footpaths – many of them linked to the legendary Outeniqua Hiking Trail system offer unfettered access to the rugged surrounding peaks, and to the indigenous forest that blankets the foothills. George is a true trail running destination nestled in the middle of the Garden Route
What started as a dream between a small group of people, is now something that belongs to the whole community of George.

It was a fast and furious morning on the trails ⛰️ and through the forests 🍃 with over 1000 runners taking on the MUT Challenge and MUT Lite.

After finishing 2nd in last years MUT60 .buys climbs up one more step on the podium this year to take gold 🏆
Behind him it was a stampede to the line with and laying it all out on the course but eventually finishing hand in hand for a tied 2nd place.
The other notable performance was coming in 5th overall 🥵
It’s safe to say that the MUT60 provided all the drama, emotions and joy that has become the hallmark of the MUT by UTMB 👏
