Caw tippers and plant hire

Water trucks being deployed to low water & no water pressure areas in Denneoord and Camphersdrift.

Information about low to no water pressure in the Denneoord/Camphersdrift areas water trucks will be stationed at the following points:
• At Spar in Wellington Str - Stationed
• Up in Wellington Str at the Denneoord Café - stationed
• Botanical Gardens in Caledon Str - on its way
• George Biblioteek, Caledon str – on its way

The trucks will be available at the above points between 18:00 and 20:00, and later be possibly redeployed to other areas, also for small interims to refill.

George Fire Department has sand available for households wanting to prepare for possible further rain.
Agri in York Street has confirmed that bags are in stock to buy for this purpose.
Please bring your bags to sidewalk area next to fire department and municipal filling station in Mitchell Street for filling.

Update on water trucks - The trucks are being filled with water currently and will then be on route to the areas below:

(Denneoord area) C/O of 8th Avenue and Wellington Street at the parking area in front of Bergville Retirement Village
(CBD) Tuinroete Agri – York street
(George South) Union Road across from the Carpe Diem sport grounds
(George South) C/O Nelson Mandela Boulevard and Cradock street at the Engen Garage
(Rosemore) Busy Corner
(Parkdene) Parkdene Primary School
(Borchards) Heidedal Primary School
(George East) Genevafontein Superette
(George East) Old Duggies in parking area at Prestons
(Kraaibosch) at the Shell Garage robot at Mall
(Blue Mountain) At the entrance of Blue Mountain Estate

If we see that a truck is not necessary in an area, it will be moved to an area that requires assistance. The public can also get water from the Fire Brigade in Mitchell Street.
