Shongweni Club is a beautiful and priceless equestrian venue that exists due to the commitment of members, past and present, who value and appreciate its quality in an age of ever declining sports and recreational venues. The DSC is recognized as being the equestrian hub of Kwa-Zulu Natal and renowned as one of the best competitive venues in the country. We also have Hillcrest Villages Rugby Club homed here, a Flying Club, Mountain BIking and the Park Run.

We can’t believe it’s already over. What a week of riding at the Toyota South Africa Youth Champs 2026, every discipline, every rider, giving it everything they had at Shongweni.

A huge thank you to The Western Shoppe for being part of it all. Your support throughout the week didn’t go unnoticed, and events like this don’t happen without sponsors like you standing behind them.

The Toyota South Africa Youth Champs 2026 is officially in the books, and what a week it was. Round after round, discipline after discipline, these young riders showed up and showed out at Shongweni.

Massive thanks to Toyota SA. As title sponsor, their support is what makes an event of this size possible for the next generation of South African equestrian talent, and it showed, from the vehicles on display to the energy they brought to the grounds all week.
