South African junior Simphiwe Ngwenya has been named as part of Team South Africa’s Davis Cup squad for the World Group II Play-off against Montenegro πŸ‡²πŸ‡ͺ.

The talented youngster had a standout 2025 season, claiming the Boys Under-18 title at the 2025 Junior Masters, cementing his status as one of SA’s top junior players.

Rhys Vorwerk (Westville Boys High School) and Lindokuhle Gcwensa (Westville Boys High School) have been selected for the U19 Boys SA Schools Team, Nicholas Ullyett (Westville Boys High School) for the U15 Boys SA Team, and Sofia Kamalie (Star College) for the U19 Girls SA Team.

Day 2 of IPT2026 had it all! Bloemfontein delivered sunshine and pool time between matches, while in Tshwane the rain delays pushed players indoors and kept everyone on their toes.

Huge congratulations to our U13A, U15A and U19A teams who have fought their way into the quarter finals! We are excited for what tomorrow will bring.

After a long bus ride packed with laughs, snacks, music and great team vibes, the KZN Schools teams have safely arrived in Bloemfontein and Tshwane for the Tennis South Africa Schools week Inter-Provincial Tournament.

The day wrapped up with an altitude acclimatisation session to loosen up the legs and prepare for match play. Tournament action kicks off tomorrow morning and the excitement is real!
