Ringo Star, you are such a superstar 🌟

Ringo, owned by Helen White and ridden by Prudence Rogers, competing in his first affiliated dressage show yesterday at Shongweni Shows. Winning his novice 2 and 3 tests with good scores in a strong class.

Then an eventful drive home, having a blowout on the N3 highway where Ringo kept his cool and snacked on carrots and cubes while the amazing Tyres 101 team arrived with a new tyre, changed it and sent us on our way home all in under an hour from the phone call. Thank you Aletta and Derek, brilliant service!

Well done to Belinda Spencer on her 2 fabulous horses.
Lady Evelyn 1st 🥇 and 2nd 🥈 her novice tests,
Cellehof Field 1st 🥇 in Medium 2
Daneen Schallen on Saratoga Walking on Sunshine riding a relaxed and confident medium test.

Thank you Jocelyn Constant and Shongweni Shows and the whole team for a great show.
Thank you to Lisa, Daneen and Josh who all offered to help when we were stuck on the highway.
Thank you Megs for getting up super early to plait before work, it was so appreciated.
Biggest thanks to Ringo, Helen and Joe for making our first show together so memorable.
This was for you Gill Pater 💞

SA Dressage Champs 2024
17-22 September

Finally getting back to normality after being back home for a week from SA champs (it’s been a tough week!)

But the week we spent at SA champs in Jhb was fantastic!
So proud of the boys Neapolitano Nanczi (Jack) and Debonaire
Jack was a member of the KZN Open team and competed in the PSG.
🥉 KZN open team
5th PSG warm up (cracking a 70%)
🥉 in PSG Championship
Debonaire, owned by Coral Rogers, was a member of the Novice team and competed in his first away show.
KZN novice team came 6th
Debonaire got better and better with every ride, finishing his show by winning his novice consolation pool 2 class 🥇
Belinda Spencer competing her 2 horses, Cellehof Field and Lady Evelyn, both in teams, elementary and prelim.
Cellehof Field and Belinda had a good show with placings and qualifying for the championship.
Unfortunately Lady Evelyn didn’t like the big show atmosphere and flags, so her show was very much a learning curve and Belinda handled her well.

So Many Thank Yous!

To Jack and Debonaire, such super boys who traveled well, gave me super rides and allowed me to do what I love.
Smarty Singini, my right and left hand man! The boys favourite chef and walker. I couldn’t have done this without all your help.
Pam Rogers, I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for all your support, eyes on the ground (and in the car) and basically all you do for the horses and I.
Jonathan Wisdom for your knowledge, patience, belief and encouragement. Jack and I are where we are because of you!
Mum, (mother Jackie) for all your incredible support, for letting me take over your home with stinky horse stuff and for all the delicious meals and a bed.
Coral Rogers for letting me take your horse away for a week to compete.
Angie Merideth and your incredible team who ran the most spectacular SA champs.
All the amazing sponsors.
Everyone at Kyalami Equestrian Park.
Photographers.
All my wonderful team mates who’s support is the best!
Seona and Steph for coming to watch and support me ride
Sean for keeping our girls safe and warm in the crazy weather.
Mike Rogers for your towing vehicle, horsebox and wife!
To everyone who keep the horses in tip top shape, Carine Smit, Jan Still, Donovan and vets etc.
All the friends who offered stables, food, grass, shavings and beds if we had to stay for longer due to snow and road closures!
