We're giving you a theme. You're going to give us a fashion show nobody is prepared for. 🎀

Bow ties at altitude. Ball gowns on single track. Tuxedos at the water point. Fascinators that survive a river crossing. We're going to have questions and we are not going to ask them.

The standard is about to be set. The bar is about to be raised. The outfits are going to be completely, magnificently, gloriously wrong.

There is a moment on the trail (usually somewhere on a climb) where you stop.

Not because you're tired. Well. Maybe because you're tired.

But mostly because the Drakensberg does something to you that no photo ever fully captures and no caption ever fully explains.

You just stand there. Breathing hard. Looking out. And you think:

"This is why I run."
