Afternoon Hoedspruit, please can we just put out another message requesting everyone to please HOLD BACK on all further donations to Phalaborwa for now. The support has been incredible and at the moment they do not have enough space to receive any thing further. Over the next week or so, they will be able to start getting the families into some kind of medium-term accommodation and each family will then have somewhere to collect and store more needed items. At the moment they are all living in guest house rooms etc so their own space is limited as well and the church where collections are being centralised is also pretty tightly packed at present 🙂. We will more than likely need to help with more items but only in a week or more's time once accommodation has been found for the families. We will keep everyone up to date in this regard. Please also note that we do not have a permanent storage place in Hoedspruit either to still receive and store donations. We set up a temporary facility yesterday to deal with the emergency situation but it is not a permanent solution and was only available for yesterdays operation. Again we just want to thank everyone for their incredible support. It is a true show of Hoedspruit generosity that we actually can ask everyone to stand back for a few days or a week or so, rather than having to beg for more assistance - HOEDSPRUIT YOU ROCK!!!!
