With friends from the USA, we will again be taking part in the (unfenced) Hwange National Park Full Moon Game Count, which is designed to estimate the number and species of wildlife in Zimbabwe's largest Park.
Groups, each comprising of 4 counters are given a waterhole (pan) to monitor, for a 24 hour, through the day and night, and are asked to record the numbers using the waterhole.
Last year we recorded over 200 elephants (some as close as 15 yards), 2 female lions with their 6 cubs, giraffe, hyena, Cape Buffalo, sable, impala, waterbuck, jackal.
The annual Count offers the unique privelige of a. remaining in the Park during the animal active night time hours, and b. travelling off-road to your allocated counting site.
Flights direct to the friendly town of Victoria Falls - the adventure capital of Africa, and offering a visit to the worlds largest waterfall, either via Addis Ababa or Johannesburg,
We are looking forward to the trip - JOIN US.
