A pause gives you back a choice. When you're used to being the person who steps in, figures things out, and makes sure everything gets done, taking something on can become almost automatic. You might agree before you've checked your calendar, offered help before you've considered your own capacity, or found yourself responsible for something you never actually agreed to carry.

These five questions give you a moment to interrupt that pattern and make a more conscious decision.
You can still be generous, dependable and supportive. You can still care deeply about the people around you. You just get to include yourself in the equation, too.

Life update AND a question: Does wanting something different mean I'm ungrateful? No. Of course not.

You can love your life and the people in it, but you can also allow your vast range of emotions around all of it.

What are you grateful for, that you also might need and appreciate some change around?

✨ A little new moon ritual:
Light a candle, grab your journal, and give yourself a few minutes with these questions:

🌑 What am I ready to invite into my life?
🌑 What am I no longer willing to give my energy to?
🌑 What do I want to feel more of in this next chapter?
🌑 What is one small, meaningful step I can take towards that intention?

Let this be your reminder that you’re allowed to choose again, change direction, and make room for something that feels more like you.

What is one intention you’re setting for this new moon? Leave it in the comments as a little commitment to yourself, or save this post and come back to it when you have a quiet moment of your own.

We can become so accustomed to being the person who copes, performs, achieves and keeps everything moving that we stop questioning what it is costing us.

The behaviours that contribute to burnout can look like some of our best qualities from the outside. Being dependable, ambitious, capable and responsible can all be things we genuinely value about ourselves.

The problem starts when those qualities stop feeling like choices. When pushing through becomes automatic, rest brings guilt, doing less feels uncomfortable, and your life gradually becomes organised around what you can endure rather than what actually works for you.

That is where I think some of the most useful reflection begins. Because changing your pace isn't always about becoming better at managing your time, organising your life or squeezing more efficiency out of yourself. Sometimes it means examining the beliefs underneath the pace you've been maintaining and asking whether they still deserve to run your life.

Take some time with these questions and resist the urge to come up with the most sensible answer. Pay attention to what catches in your throat, what you immediately want to dismiss, or what makes you think, “I don't really want to answer that.”

Let's talk about it ⬇️

The goal isn’t to avoid work forever - it’s to return on your terms. To step back into your career with confidence, knowing you won’t sacrifice yourself again:

Know Your Patterns: What led to burnout? Overworking? People-pleasing? Ignoring stress signals?

Identify Your Triggers: What situations or dynamics push you into overdrive?

Strengthen Your Boundaries: Where do you need to say “no” more often?

Develop Resilience Tools: Meditation, journaling, nervous system regulation - what works for you?

❤️ If this resonates, let’s talk. Book a free discovery call to explore how you can create a work-life balance that truly supports you.

You don’t have to live in survival mode. It’s time to thrive.

When we’re already stressed or overloaded, the gap between “this is annoying me” and reacting to it gets really small.

That’s why something as harmless as a leaf blower can suddenly feel like a personal attack. 😂

We can't control what happens outside of us, but we can control how we respond.

A few slow breaths gives me enough space between the irritation and my reaction to choose what I want to do next.

When something small suddenly feels like too much, try creating a little space before you respond.

Breathe first. Then decide.
