Young people from the Kouga Wind Farm Community Development Trust’s beneficiary communities are back on the court as the 2026 basketball season gets underway through the Young Ballers Basketball Programme SA. 🏀

The Trust has made continued investments in Combi Courts across beneficiary schools and structured basketball development programmes, thereby creating safe spaces and meaningful opportunities for young people to develop their talent.

Basketball helps young people build discipline, teamwork, confidence, commitment and resilience, while developing skills and qualities they can carry with them far beyond the court. As Young Ballers Basketball Programme SA shared:
“KWFCDT is creating a meaningful pathway for the development of future basketball players and young sporting talent.”

Seeing young people actively using these spaces, developing their skills and competing is a powerful reflection of what sustained investment in sports infrastructure and youth development can achieve. 👏

The season is only getting started and more games are coming, so community members are encouraged to follow Young Ballers Basketball Programme SA for upcoming fixtures and support these young athletes from the sidelines.
