The impala may be one of Africa’s most common antelope, but that doesn’t make hunting one any easier! Their incredible eyesight, sharp hearing and ability to disappear into thick bush make them a challenging and rewarding animal to hunt.
Did you know an impala can leap up to 3 metres high and around 10 metres in distance? They can also reach speeds of about 75 km/h! 🏃‍♂️💨

Andy has experienced first-hand just how elusive these animals can be! 🏔️
After some hard hunting and passing on a couple of bulls in the mountains, we finally spotted a bull below the mountains in the hills. We made our way in and stalked him until we were finally within range.

What an unforgettable adventure! The recent rains transformed the landscape, but they also made for some challenging travel. Washed-away roads, slippery tracks, and getting stuck in the mud a couple of times were all part of the journey.
Despite the tough conditions, every challenge made the experience even more rewarding. Great memories were made, plenty of laughs were shared, and the beautiful African bush reminded us that the best adventures don't always come easy.
That's all part of the safari experience! 🌧️🚙💪

Another great trophy down on top of the mountain! 🏔️ What a tough hunt through very rugged terrain and endless rocks, but the effort was well worth it.\n\nThe Red Hartebeest is one of Africa’s most underrated plains game animals. These animals are built for speed and endurance, capable of running at speeds of up to 70 km/h and covering long distances across open country. Their long face and high shoulders make them instantly recognizable, and their excellent eyesight makes getting within shooting range a real challenge.\n\nThis old bull gave us a memorable hunt in some of the roughest mountain country, and the views from the top were just as rewarding as the trophy itself.\n\nCongratulations on a fantastic Red Hartebeest bull and an unforgettable mountain hunt! 👏🦌\n\n

After getting the Land Cruiser stuck in the mud, we decided to continue the hunt on foot and stalk a bachelor group of Black Wildebeest. Both Travis and Dwayne had Black Wildebeest high on their wish list, and what followed was a hunt to remember!
After the first bull went down, the rest of the herd stopped and looked back, creating an unexpected opportunity for a second bull. Moments later, both hunters had successfully taken outstanding Black Wildebeest bulls.
