SADSF Members' Profile

Since there are currently no competitive tournaments at the moment due to lockdown caused by the Coronavirus, we will be using this time to provide profile of each club under South African Deaf Sports Federation (SADSF), focusing specifically on those that have their own pages.

Today we profile VAMPIRES DEAF NETBALL CLUB.

Established on 4 May 2019, the club is based in Sedibeng in the Southern part of Gauteng and is the only Deaf Netball Club in the District. Being the only Deaf Netball Club in Sedibeng, the club is not short of support from the broader Sedibeng community, business sector and municipalities, notably Midvaal Local Municipality.

Led by a relatively young and dynamic chairperson, Dieketseng Motsoane, the club's leadership is made up of the following persons:

1. Dieketseng Motsoane - Chairperson
2. Frances Philips - Vice Chairperson
3. Tashreeqah Khan - Secretary
4. Xolisile Faku - Treasurer
5. Chiko Phiri - Captain

The main aim of the club is to promote sport participation among female Deaf youth in Sedibeng and surrounding areas in an attempt to curb teenage pregnancy and protect them from negative peer pressure and social ills.

If you are a young female Deaf person or know of a young female Deaf person in Sedibeng or surrounding areas who is currently not a member of Vampires Deaf Netball Club, please join or encourage them to join the club.

Please like that page. The club is also registered as a Non-Profit Organization.

Stay home, be safe, do not forget to wash your hands and wear a facemask whenever you are going out.
