Marco Brenner powered to the top of Sierra de la Pandera to deliver Tudor Pro Cycling Team their first-ever Grand Tour stage victory — aboard the BMC Switzerland Teammachine R 01.

A 12-kilometre summit finish at 7.2% average gradient. Sweltering Spanish heat. One of the most demanding stages of this year's Vuelta. And it was the Teammachine R 01 that carried Brenner to the top.

Last week we introduced you to the BMC Teammachine SLR01. This week, let's talk about what makes it special.

The SLR in Teammachine SLR01 stands for Super Light Racing — and that's not marketing language. This is a frameset that weighs in at under 800g, engineered through five generations of Swiss precision to deliver one thing above all else: the feeling that the bike disappears beneath you on a climb.
