It is great regret to see intentions of some individuals trying to kill the talent that we are trying to nurture. That's why we take time to have a black Olympic swimmer or swimmers which is my vision for my community.

Mind you I made an invitation to the community on this group and people who believe in me come in numbers and I will forever be grateful to all of you.

You not only believed in me as a person but in my talent, skills and qualifications as well. All I am asking for is a chance to prove myself and what I can do for my community. I have done this before with white communities. I didn't go to UJ and qualified as a sports manager only to hang my national diploma on the wall. I want to implement the knowledge and skills in my community and produce world class athletes in a sport that has offered me many opportunities in life. I have travelled the world, this continent and country as well.

It's time that we pass the baton and unearth a new generation of swimmers in Soweto.

It's time for change and the time is now. Can we not kill our talent please. Jabavu Sharks Swimming Club belongs to the community of Jabavu and not the coaches, the council or Swimming South Africa.

The Benefits of Swimming

Swimming lessons have resumed at Jabavu swimming pool. R300 for kids and R400 for adults per month.

Thanks to all parents and new swimmers who showed interest by coming through to Jabavu Swimming Pool today.

Registrations will take place on Monday 13th November 2023 between 15:00 and 17:00pm at the pool. Inquiries and concerns will also be addressed.

Please Note:
- There won't be any child that will be accepted if not accompanied by a parent/guardian. This is due to the Child Protection Act, which requires those dealing with minors should be clear of any Illicit criminal record. And those dealing/teaching your children should in possession of a police clearance.

Good day all. As per your inquiries. Swimming lessons will resume in October at Jabavu Swimming Pool and various other venues according to the demand. Prices and other arrangements will be communicated with all of you soon. In the meantime inbox me and I will take your details to book for your spot for Swimming lessons.
