A New PB and a fish that made all the hard work worth it.
Words cannot explain the feeling when you achieve a target so early in the campaign
None the less, all lessons learnt from the previous sessions paved the way into me landing all the fish this session.
Gear upgrades, change in baiting strategies and so much more finer details played a big role until I finally had another opportunity.
After landing several other good fish early in the session, I just knew it was a matter of time before I get an opportunity with a big fish.
It finally happened, from a screaming fox alarm on the pickup, to an extremely tough battle with a fish that just did not want to give up, to getting flat rodded into different swims multiple times, until I finally seen what was in the net.
It all paid off in the end with me landing this beast of a common, pulling the scales to just over 40lbs

Florida Lake Session 🎣
I decided to do a 2-day session at Florida Lake, not knowing what to expect. When I arrived, the conditions were tough — strong winds blowing non-stop day and night.
Despite the challenging weather, I managed to land a couple of fish and keep the rods working.

Tough conditions at recent Rac comp. Hunters member Eugene Lombard pulled it off and won the heaviest bag competition. Well done Eugene 👍👊

Imagine using a bait that has pistachio, cashew, crushed h**p, crushed black pepper, crushed fenugreek, protein isolates, compound seeds and then formulating the bait to breakdown at a rate where not only the carp but the ecosystem benefits too…

Now imagine spombing that out where big carp live and feed. Then imagine catching them and they p**p the bait out in your hand

A quick overnight at Donaldson dam resulted in two fish ,effective baiting with whole RiCh International active krill and pistachio boilies paired with the citrus,pistachio pelletant and hobolife fenugreek powder gave the fish something tasty to snack on !
