I'm Sam. I have arthritis & scoliosis. I teach yoga for chronic pain & I post about my aerial sport journey to inspire you to keep moving.

I never thought I would be able to return to movement after my diagnoses. I spent almost a year on disability because at my worst, I could barely move around and I was unable to leave the house without assistance. But now after years of intense management, treatment, therapy, Pilates and yoga I am able to do sports I didn't think would be possible for me! Such as aerial silks. A very demanding sport - especially for arthritis in your hands and feet - but extremely rewarding. I want to let you know that wherever you are in your healing journey, know that your body can heal and you can attain a new and wonderful 'normal' for yourself. By choosing to listen to your body and give it what it needs on a week to week basis, you'll eventually be so in tune with yourself you'll be able to do anything # # #

Yoga with Sam Sunday 10am classes will be both in-person and online. You can book on the bookamat app (link in bio/scan the QR code).

Why yoga? I have had many personal setbacks in terms of health over the past 10 years, and I know what it is like to lose confidence in your body. If you are in a similar space I encourage you to join my classes. Yoga has helped me tremendously on a physical, spiritual and mental level to heal and gain my confidence back in my own body 💜. I am passionate about helping you on your mind-body-spirit healing journey.

Sometimes I don't feel like exercising. I'm tired after work, sore and grumpy. We've all been here! However, just 15 minutes of yoga can sometimes turn your day around. Even if I just lay on my mat and breathe, it helps me reset and gives me a little bit of energy to carry on.
